I haven’t been here – and I had picked this picture up from MSN travel – saying that this is one of the weirdest theme hotel – but i sincerely wouldn’t call that – because this is a piece of art by itself – and staying in this B & B would definitely be an experience that I would love for my kid to experience.  I  bet my 7 yrs old would be so thrilled – wouldn’t yours?

Located in Idaho – the land of potatoes – from what I know. Dog Bark Park is located in north central Idaho on US Hwy 95 at Cottonwood, Idaho. The bread and breakfast offers yummy breakfast – and reasonably priced rooms – with the usual amenities you can expect for a B & B.  But what’s most unique is going to be the chainsaw art giftstore -  the life-like work – by the owners and artists are incredible.  I would love to bring a Beagle home too – if I visit.   Very interesting indeed.

So if you owned a summer house in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia – you are pretty much screwed.  Today we had a customer from Massachusetts and he told us that he had to drive another 10 hrs thru’ Digby to get to his summer house here.  He wasn’t happy at all.   The NDP government still insist that without the ferry – our economy is still as good – but we all know it’s not true.  I don’t know what is wrong with the NDP government or what their problem is – but if you are thinking of coming to Canada – via Portland – well you can forget it.  The link for United States citizens to visit Canada – and vice versa is broken – how can this not damage our economy – even the American who was in our store today wasn’t happy at all.

Health retreats are getting more and more popular here in the West  but we’ve all gone for a few in the East especially around Bali and Thailand but lately – I have been seeing more and more inns offering health retreats specializing in detox programs and yoga sessions.   I think it is a very smart idea to have these health retreats to help revitalize and rejuvenate  – now if they have these opiate detox done with the view of the harbor and rooftop setting or just about any Balinese view  – I think I wouldn’t mind spending time there and doing my detox either.   But yes!  I found one right here in our backyard – a Yoga retreat place combined with a wellness program  – I think it is an awesome program – for those who wants a better lifestyle – or who needs help with detoxing your body – plus it’s nice to be able to tell people that you went for a health retreat – afterall, detox is like a health retreat right.

We went on a short vacation with some friends to New York one year – and was going shopping for family and friends – after we’ve done our own shopping.  My girlfriends wanted to get a gift for her spouse and her son but we quickly found that shopping for a guy is not as easy as shopping for the girls.  But we did managed to get some her  Son Gifts from our trip after getting some ideas from the co-workers back home.

5th Avenue had a lot of men’s stuff – but we didn’t find anything there that the guys would like -  we wanted to get some electronics for them – but really what do we know about electronics right?  it’s really so much easier to shop for them online – so the next time before we go for our vacation – we are going to get them to shop for something online for themselves – so that we don’t have to worry about buying them anything – hahaha!   Love our guys !  but really!  shopping for men are best done online.

Bixby Bridge

I think the most wonderful time I had in San Francisco wasn’t going to the Fisherman’s wharf but driving along the coast and seeing the Bixby Bridge and the camp grounds of the Pfeiffer Big  Sur State Park.   The Ocean was beautiful and a sight to hold onto – a spectacular view is an understatement. So for those of you going to San Francisco – don’t just visit all your touristy places and forget about the Bixby Creek Bridge.

Tuscon, Arizona

Funny when everyone talks about Arizona – they think about cactus and the dessert – but it’s not really true because Tuscon, Arizona is a very vibrant place in the Southwest. Lots to see and visit and shopping as well – and of course, you can bring your businesses to Tuscon, Arizona like a lot of people I know do.  If you need a lawyer or a attorney, they have the  attorney tucson as well.

As we all know that in Tuscon, Arizona the Spanish community is quite huge – and the attorney in Tuscon even have someone who speaks your language – pretty professional eh. But lets come back to visiting Tuscon, Arizona where you can hike, play golf or go for horseback riding.  There is also the famous Arizona – Sonara Desert Museum you can visit and what about food?  They are pretty big on steaks i see and Mexican food.  I didn’t stay too long in Arizona – the last time I was there was for a wedding – but i know that my girlfriend married someone there and settled there happily ever after.  So yes, Tuscon, Arizona is pretty much a good place to be and has everything you can think of to migrate or work in.

We were in Boston last month – and the city was just preparing for Christmas then.  Why were we there?  we were attending a wedding – and although it was another a few days trip – we felt really good – that we were able to make a trip up to Boston.

Even though it was only early November – you can see that the street was all lighted up.

We also visited Harvard Square – famous for its  historic red brick walkways  with 100s of restaurants, top notch retailers, museums, entertainment venues, bookstores and more.  There was the Ben & Jerry that we had to visit of course!  and Cafe Sushi for me  – but not subway – we can get those at home – so no way i was going to eat there.   But overall – we had quite a ball.

One event you shouldn’t missed out on is sumo wrestling when you are in Tokyo – it is a very interesting sport and people travel from all over the world just to see the Sumo in action.  Sumo wrestling is said to have started out as being a religious event – dedicated to the Gods with prayers for a good harvest.  But today the Sumo are trained hard and they are governed by ancient traditions.  It is fun to watch a ceremony performed and then the sport after.   One can have hear the tournament in English for an extra 2000 yen – but the admission fee is about $75 is I remembered correctly.    The Sumo are so huge – I asked my friend who lived in Japan if they take any special food or any muscle building supplements ?   to keep their shape and size.  So remember – don’t forget the Sumo Wrestling while you are in Tokyo.

Traveling with a physically challenged person – especially in the air – is not as difficult as you think it is.  I’ve traveled with some during my time – when I was working in Spain.  You see – one of my bosses – was physically challenged but it didn’t stopped him from doing anything that we were doing.   The most important thing to remember – when traveling with a physically challenged person – is to plan ahead – and to call the airline ahead to make sure that they know about the travel – the flight and making sure that there are people in the airport and on the plan to assist.  And don’t forget about the insurance and health plan when you are traveling with them.

While Medicare part D plan is different from a corporate health plan when traveling for business – it is good to know that there are people out there to help those who needs help with their health plan insurance from the government.  Different countries have different medicare for these people – and different benefits, so if you are traveling with them – make sure you check that out too.  But let me assure you – most airlines are pretty good with helping out – but be prepared.

So you are making your first ever trip from US to Asia and you are wondering how you can get or rent a phone – so that you can stay in contact with your family and girlfriends back home.  No worries because in most airport they do have a rental kiosk and all you have to do is to give them a credit card and your passport information and you have a phone to go.  Don’t expect them to give you any cell phone cases to go with your cell phone but all the accessories needed for your vacation or business trip – they will have it ready for you.  The charger of course and the extra battery if you want one.  But if you are traveling – best to get those belt type of cell phone cases – so you don’t lose your cell phone – for yes you need to pay for the missing cell phone – if you lose it.
