We loved the Bellagio Fountain when we are in Vegas and our timing always seems to be pretty great when the show begins. and this time of the year – I bet they are playing Christmas songs to go with the show.  The show is pretty magnificent – I’ve seen people cry when watching the water fountain go – it’s quite funny to be honest.  But for those watching for the first time – I can fully understand why they can get so overwhelmed because it has gotta be the most beautiful show to enjoy with a loved one or yourself.

If you asked me I prefer the night shows a lot more.   The shows are from 3pm – 7pm on weekdays for 30 mins and watch them in the evening from 7pm – 12am – shows lasting for only 15mins.  I prefer the short shows.   On weekends the show starts earlier but end at the same time.   Free to watch – so when you are in Las Vegas, make sure you spend some time watching the Bellagio Fountains and if you are lucky – you can see some street performers as well.

I’ve stayed at the Trump Int’l Hotel, Las Vegas with my boss and engineers when I was working for a Spanish company in Madrid – because we needed to be there to look into a project for parking meters – I think it was a tender followed by some negotiation with the clients.  Anyhow, we were at the Trump International many times and each time I arrived in Las Vegas and enter the hotel I’ll have to say – I loved the grandeur of the hotel – unfortunately, there is this damn train that I can’t seem to get away from – and it definitely disrupt my sleep – so much – that I had to buy ear plugs. Other than that – the Trump Hotel in Las Vegas – treated us well – and we love the rates there.

And since there is no casino here – we could have our business meetings in the hotel itself and for those who loved to gamble or try their luck – the Ceasar casino and Wynn are not far from the Trump.  The strip and fashion mall  are just opposite of the hotel  – so if you need to shop or eat or do anything – they are just within walking distance.  Another thing to note is the resort fees that they charged – my hotel bills were paid by the company – but every time I see someone check in or out – there were always a big argument about it.   Different people were charged differently too – so irregardless whether you use the pool, gym or the shuttle you still have to pay this resort fees.

I do love the room, they were big and spacious and the penthouse that my boss stayed in on the 65th floor – was awesome – they even have their own butler there for the boss – I was so jealous!  but my boss had offered me his penthouse – but of course I didn’t change room with him.

I think every room has it own jacuzzi tub – and I do enjoy it a lot.

We eat our breakfast by the pool every morning before heading out to our business meetings – it’s nice to see people swimming first thing in the morning – but we were all dressed up in business suits.  Lots of sunbed here – no worry about not getting your tan.  For a little over a $100 a nite at the Trump – we cannot ask for more.

Escaping The Cold

While the rest of the world is freezing, one can escape to Las Vegas for some warm sunny days .. but chilly in the nite.  But it sure beats cold day and nite right?  And if you are travel a lot like someone i know, some cheap health insurance is a must – i never travel without any health insurance, for  you never know when you may get sick.

The Mirage itself is a spectacular view from outside, I love staying at the Mirage, even though there are many newer hotels out there in Las Vegas.  One is spoiled for choices.

The Luxor is an Egyptian themed hotel, not only is it grand – the architectural work on it is amazing.  Look at the tip of the pyramid .. you can see a beam of light shooting up into the sky… it is an awesome, awesome sight.

A view from my hotel room – spectacular .. and intoxicating – as compared to where i lived.. the town planner of my current town would probably faint.. of heart attack seeing so much lights.

I’m surprised I haven’t written more about Las Vegas afterall, I have been there upteem times for work, for vacation and even for a bachelorette party.  I’ve stayed at several hotel .. and loved them for various reasons.  The Ceasar’s pool was huge.. and it’s was pretty convenient to everything and everywhere.  The Excalibur wasn’t too bad either.. and the room # plates gave your the old feel because of the sword and the blue in it.. but they were plastic framed… if you know what i mean. But each time.. i go to Las Vegas, I’m only too glad to use my  Medifast coupon code.

Ppl feel that going to Las Vegas is just a waste of time .. because they are for gamblers and sleazy old man.. hahaha!! but truth be told.. it is not.  Las Vegas is really vibrant.. and you can actually get good meals .. for under $20 .. or you can go for fine dining for $500 a couple.  Shopping was great.. at the strips..  but be sure you wear really comfy shoes.  Whether you are in to Gucci or just handmade stuff, you can find it there.  Ppl watching was something i love too.. in Las Vegas… and i usually spend an hour or so in the pools .. at any Vegas hotels that I am in.   There were so much that I did.. i’m gonna have to find the pictures and post it up for everyone to see.

I’ve been asked many a times by friends if they can bring their kids along with them when they go on their Vegas vacations and my answer is an absolutely YES!  Vegas is not only about casinos.. it has evolved into a very kids and family friendly vacation spot.  Hotels are affordable and whether your kid is into thrill rides or shopping for the gals, you can do it all here.  Don’t give Vegas a miss because it’s a misconception ..that Vegas is all about rolling dices and prostitutes.

Lots of people has their own name for Las Vegas but for me and my girlfriends, we called it the City of Fun.  Not only are the hotels in las vegas affordable.. but they are very nice and luxurious.  City of Fun is a great place to have your bridal shower because it is an endless night of fun.  My bestie had her bridal shower there.. and I’ll have to say, it was one of the best.. i’ve ever been to.
