We like resort as soon as we arrived, we were given a warm welcome by the front desk and shown to our rooms promptly.   Only minutes from the airport – this resort was managed by the Hilton group from what we’ve heard.  We had a whole strange of the Ocean view for watching the sunset and sunrise – additionally – there were restaurants, grill and a bar for those who wants to stay in the resort and relax.  About 10 minutes towards Kapaa, you can find beaches you can swim in – so don’t be disappointed that you don’t find one in the resort itself.

We loved the pool and since we didn’t have any kids with us – we were able to sun tan as long as we want.

Beautiful palm trees and lots of greens.

Waterfall by the pool.

Hot tubs and gym were available here – and they weren’t even crowded.

We took morning laps here before breakfast.

The rooms were nice and clean and unlike some resorts in Hawaii – this one is carpeted – I don’t like the ceramic flooring.  A free shuttle service is offered by the resort to the surrounding shopping center – and if you want to drive around the island you can – it’s pretty easy to get around. Parking was a wee bit expensive for a resort – but oh well, it’s better to have our own car since we like to venture out and check out the island.  Live music in the bar for you to end the evening and retire to bed.

The Disney resort in Hawaii opens this week – and I had been following its progress.  So for those who are heading to Hawaii – you can try out the resort and spa – and your children will be thrilled with the resort I am sure – while you enjoy a bit of peace – and relaxation.  Your children can have breakfast with Mickey and Minnie Mouse – and lots of entertainment even though – you won’t see a theme park in the resort itself.  I hope there will be more reviews soon – because I would like to know what else they have to offer.

Hanuama Bay Park

Hanuama Bay Park is one of the best places we’ve been to for snorkeling – a girlfriend of mine told me the other day that life was short and unpredictable – unlike something you can put in catalog printing, therefore – one has got to make the best of life and cherish your loved ones.  How true and it set me thinking that we should make another trip this time with our daughter to Hanuama Bay Park in Hawaii.

The beaches are beautiful and the people are definitely friendly and the crime rate is so low – one has got to love it, especially when one has kids. So what can one do at the Hanuama Bay Park ?  you can go to the underwater park and you can scuba dive and snorkel and para – sailing.  The beach goes on and on and great for sunbathing, relaxing and if you wish – a picnic would be nice.  There are many breath-taking views at the Hanuama Bay Park – and guess what there are lifeguards everywhere.   Oh don’t forget to check out the living coral too.

The pink hotel that we stayed in was called the Royal Hawaiian Hotel.

It wasn’t too expensive if i can recall correctly and be warned that some hotels can be very expensive.

Hana’s lush beauty has been protected from over development by the daunting two-hour drive in or out on the twisty Hana Highway, and aficionados swear it’s the last authentic place on Maui. This sprawling luxury ranch takes full advantage of the unspoiled setting: The eight one- and two-bedroom oceanfront Sea Ranch Cottages sit out where the land suddenly drops into the sea. The wooden houses have high, beamed ceilings, an enclosed garden off the modern bathroom, and interiors done up in vintage Hawaiian designs. There are amenities for guests at nearby Hamoa Beach, a pool that overlooks the ocean, and a state-of-the-art spa with open-air treatment rooms. An additional four Maui Bay Cottages sit closer to the main building, with views over Hana Bay or the garden, and for complete privacy, the turn-of-the-century Plantation House has two bedrooms and is a 10-minute walk from the hotel’s main building (there’s a shuttle service too). Attention, honeymooners: September is an adult-only month.
