Peace Palace, Hague, Netherlands

We were in Hague, Netherlands and took a short trip but a long tour to the Peace Palace.  The Peace Palace is the home of the International court of justice and houses the Peace Palace Library as well.  The do have guided tours.. and you have to make your bookings in advance, plus you can’t go in for free.  Please don’t go there on the weekends like we tried to.. and was terribly disappointed that it was closed.  We were there during the start of Autumn.. and look at the beautiful blooms.. it was gorgeous eh..?  Oh by the way .. we paid 5 euros .. for the guided tour which included going thru’ the palace’s corridors .. the small hall of the justice room, the courtyard and not forgetting the great hall of justice. The tour was in English .. but they also conduct tours in french, germna and dutch. They have a small little gift shop for you to buy souvenirs.. but i didn’t get anything.. for i didn’t see anything i liked.

I sneaked a photo of the inside of the court room of the Peace Palace, this is the International Court of Justice.

The courtyard at the Peace Palace.  Very pretty.

We had an enjoyable tour.. and there wasn’t alot of people in the tour .. only 6 of us.. so it was good.  It would have been nice.. if the tour guide.. spoke a little louder.. and wasn’t so monotonous at what he was doing.  I liked the museum.. because it show cased a lot of important documents.. that were displayed.. and we spent a good hour in the museum.
