It showcases seventy-two buildings described as “Estonian vernacular architecture and village milieu” of the tsarist time in a dark dense forest. Tourists can get a picture of the life and its hardship of the olden times through the Open Air Museum. And in Latvia you can go out for hunting. The prevalence of unspoiled countryside means that there is a lot of game to be had in Latvia. Deer, boar, moose, beaver, lynx, and wildfowl are some of the animals available for hunting. The SFS (State Forest Service) is the major authority administering hunting laws, so be sure to coordinate with them if you plan on going hunting. Be aware that Latvia also conforms to EU hunting laws.

In a little village near Jakobstad is Esse. I think i wouldn’t have gone there if it wasn’t because of a co - worker .. who wanted to visit an ex-girlfriend.. who had relocated there. North of the capital Helsinki was where Esse is, so we not only stayed at Esse but also at Umea but that’s for another story and another day.
I hear that winter here is really wicked..!! and there are lots of farmland here. and thousands of lakes around Esse. With the winter so cold .. i seriously wonder how the bugs survived..! they were aplenty.. when we were there.. trust me. But Finland is beautiful.. and the people albeit quite shy .. are pretty merry people during their festivals and they do have great museums .. many shops .. open markets.. and theatre.

This is one of the many churches you see in Esse. Very pretty eh.
