Halifax, Nova Scotia |

Halifax, Nova Scotia is one of the most vibrant city in the province of Nova Scotia. Besides the many pubs and restaurants available here, you will find one of Nova Scotia’s biggest and grandest casino. Nova Scotia is also known as Canada’s Ocean playground, so you can also expect alot of water activities here. The famous Peggy’s Cove is not to be missed of course. Boasting of the second largest natural harbor in the world after Sydney, Australia, summer is definitely the best time to visit. Tall ships and the many music festivals and the fireworks in the harbourfront is some sight.
Besides all the awesome places to shop.. once can find some authentic cuisine here.. like Dharma Sushi for Japaneses.. and Pete Frootique.. for all kinds of exotic fruits.. as well as food from London. There are some Greek restaurants there.. and don’t forget the many dim sum places you can try chinese food at. Halifax is also one of the places.. i get all my chinese groceries. The people are friendly.. and it’s almost like going home.

Those who have been on my blog for a long time will know that I’ve had many wonderful ski holidays in France at the Courchevel 1850. The sight is breath-taking, magnificent does not even begin to describe how one can feel when you are at the heart of these famous valleys. The largest skiing area in the world is found here on the French Alps and although I do like Whistler, Vancouver, Canada a lot too, I have to say that this is the perfect place to be whether in the winter or even the summer. Courchevel is always packed with tourists and local residents are very warm to tourists/vacationers like us. It’s organized and safe.

This is at La Saulire where my first skiing holidays began. There were many wonderful restaurants to choose from after a long day of play, and resorts are aplenty. They are all well furnished and you are not cut off from the rest of the world like some might think, internet access is within the hotel and even in your room.

Painted walls like this are not uncommon when you ski France the way I did for many years. There is so much more that the hotels/resorts can offer vacationers like us and you will be amazed that some resorts let you ski from your doorstep. Oh and don’t forget to get your massages and facial treatments as well while you are at it. Skiing in France or even in Whistler need not be expensive at all, it is not only for the rich, trust me.

Snowboarding In Whistler, Vancouver |

We were in Whistler, Vancouver where I saw my first snow and of course the co-workers and the ex-boss said we had to go snowboarding at the Pinnacle. We arrived at the Pinnacle near the village north where it was the easiest to access all of Blackcomb and Whistler Mountains.
With Burton snowboards, our whole engineering team was raring to go. But truth be told I know nothing about snowboarding. The ex-boss was the seasoned surfer on these snowboards and told me that Burton snowboards were the best and was the world’s first snowboard factory. Their mission is to create the best snowboarding equipment on the planet. If you are looking for a new snowboard or are just getting into the sport like I was, you should check out their website first. For me, I always believed in getting equipped with the best available, never compromise on quality.

Park Hyatt Hotel, Toronto - Canada |

Park Hyatt, Toronto was one of the first hotels that I’ve stayed in while visiting Toronto for both business and pleasure. It is a wonderful hotel albeit abit expensive. For those not on business.. at $200 per nite per room.. it can be a wee bit costly. I usually stay for a few days.. i think 5. But Park Hyatt is conveniently located downtown, so it is walking distance to alot of places.. and shopping centers, the Royal Ontario Museum, CN Tower, Skydome, Hockey hall of fame and the famous theater district.. just as long as you do not go during the winter.

The rooms are between 300-400 sq ft and are furnished for the businessmen and women. I had a king size bed. The bathroom are very nice.. with shower/tub combination. And the room i was in was decorated in warm forest green. Highly commendable were their concierge and reception services. Very accommodating.. and really helpful.. and they do try to make your stay as comfy as possible.. without intruding.
