Coming West aka Hsi Lai Temple in LA County in United States. You can find it at the foothill of Hacienda Heights – a suburb as they called it. Coming West is the direct translation from Mandarin to English for Hsi Lai meaning the Great Buddhaharma Coming To the West. This temple is affiliated to the one in Taiwan, an amazingly beautiful place and almost serene.
We also enjoyed some vegetarian food that they served and normally we don’t take vegetarian food – but this one was very good. But don’t expect to be served – it’s cafeteria style - but it didn’t bother us at all. We continued with a tour of the different temples, conference room – the courtyard and different shrines- it was very calming to my soul.
