Been on a cruise lately..?? if you haven’t .. you might want to consider the world’s largest cruise ship that set sail today.. to Florida.  The Oasis of the Seas is what it is called .. and it does have the state of the art traveling city, complete with shopping mall, several bars and restaurant.  I hear it even has an outdoor amphitheatre the size of a football field.  I know what you ladies are thinking about ?   the spa right..?? i’m pretty sure they have awesome high tech spa on board with great spa filters for every room and the works.  Yes..! it’s gigantic.. did i tell you that ..??  with 16 passenger decks..  wow..!!

I don’t know how much it is going to cost.. but i think it will be worth every penny you pay for.  But the funny thing about such huge cruise ship..  one cannot but think of the titanic.  Sure it is grand.. ! but what if something were to happen..??  hahahaha!! paranoia .. sets in.. in this helicopter mom.

For those who’ve traveled with United, US Airways, Lufthansa and Air Canada, will not find Star Alliance a starnger at all.  In fact, you will know that Star Alliance is one of the biggest airline group with 25 members with them.  You will be glad the next time you fly Continental, you will have many options when it comes to connecting flight and the likes.  I think they must also use barcode scanners like the ones back home when you check in your luggage by now.  So the next time.. you fly continental .. you know you have a lot of other options as well.

So you have a business or vacation trip.. and now you not only have the flu season here.. there is the H1N1 swine flu, you have to be afraid of.  So do you cancel your trip..?? and stay home.. and wait for the flu season to be over.. ??  Or can one travel.. since you’ve heard .. the swine flu is quite deadly..?? So the question again..  can one travel .. during all these outbreaks.. or do one stay home and do alli reviews instead.

Experts said.. that if you are on the high risk list – then you should try to avoid traveling. So who are the high risk group..??  If  you are a pregnant woman .. or adult over 65, babies and a kid under 5 and if you have chronic illness .. then you should speak with your family doctor first.

Health screening in other countries.. are not guaranteed .. but at this time.. in the USA .. they are saying they will not be screening.   Wearing a mask may not prevent you from catching the flu or H1N1 .. but washing your hands.. with soap and water.. plus not putting things in the seat pockets of your flight.. may save you the hassle of seeing a doctor during your vacation or business trip.

Note that.. you will not be guaranteed a refund.. even if the hotel or the country you are going to .. has an outbreak.. just before you leave for your trip.  But you can always ask.. and the hotel or travel agent .. may be able to compromise. Make sure you by travel insurance.. because they may not refund you for the canceled trip.. you will always be reimburse .. when you get sick during the trip.. or vacation.. and need medical care.

We’ve often heard that when you have a baby on board a plane, you and your child gets a lifetime free flight with the airline.  But one wonder how you can get on the plane.. when you are about to give birth right..?? plus if it was an emergency delivery.. which woman in the world would want it.. at 10,000 feet high in the air..  with no doctors right..?? one could die .. of complication even in the hospital.. so in the air.. with no proper medication .. and proper facilities..  even if you have an online backup like a doctor on speaker.. or online.. it’s still not the same.  Anyhow, someone .. mother and son are gonna have free flights for the rest of their life..  from AirAsia.  Mother gave birth to a baby boy on flight from Penang to Kuching .. and lucky for her..  there was a doctor on board.  Would you wanna hav a lifetime of free flight?

Las Vegas

I’m surprised I haven’t written more about Las Vegas afterall, I have been there upteem times for work, for vacation and even for a bachelorette party.  I’ve stayed at several hotel .. and loved them for various reasons.  The Ceasar’s pool was huge.. and it’s was pretty convenient to everything and everywhere.  The Excalibur wasn’t too bad either.. and the room # plates gave your the old feel because of the sword and the blue in it.. but they were plastic framed… if you know what i mean. But each time.. i go to Las Vegas, I’m only too glad to use my  Medifast coupon code.

Ppl feel that going to Las Vegas is just a waste of time .. because they are for gamblers and sleazy old man.. hahaha!! but truth be told.. it is not.  Las Vegas is really vibrant.. and you can actually get good meals .. for under $20 .. or you can go for fine dining for $500 a couple.  Shopping was great.. at the strips..  but be sure you wear really comfy shoes.  Whether you are in to Gucci or just handmade stuff, you can find it there.  Ppl watching was something i love too.. in Las Vegas… and i usually spend an hour or so in the pools .. at any Vegas hotels that I am in.   There were so much that I did.. i’m gonna have to find the pictures and post it up for everyone to see.

The Louisanna Supreme Court Building near the french quarter hotels of Beaux Arts-style and originally called the “New Courthouse Building” was originally built from 1908-1910. Its purpose was to “clear slums” while replacing the Cabildo and Presbytère as the seat of local justice. For fifty years the Louisiana Supreme Court and a spate of lower courts and offices drew swarms of glad-handed politicians, judges and lawyers, plaintiffs and defendants, juries and commissioners, clerks and secretaries, librarians, and even an occasional historian through its sculpted hallways. But in 1958 the Supreme Court departed for newer quarters and others soon followed. The Louisiana Wild Life and Fisheries Museum moved in, but when they left, the building closed and was allowed to decay. After an extensive renovation in 2004, the Louisiana Supreme Court moved back into the courthouse, and were joined by Court of Appeal-Fourth Circuit, the State Judicial Administrator’s Office, the Law Library of Louisiana, an Attorney General’s Office and, in time, a legal museum. The building is guarded by a statue of former United States Chief Justice, Edward Douglas White.

Autumn In Hague

Amsterdam in the Autumn is quite an amazing sight – to another friend, it was quite strange – was it the culture?  was it  because there were too many bikes?  but to some Amsterdam brings a sense of fear  .. is it because of being the international drug lord/land there..?? the red light district..??  or the many stories we hear of american girls going on backpacks .. and missing and never to be found..?

I travel with my Blue Cross NC but even though it is no use overseas, I know that they have most of my info with them – when in need.  Amsterdam never brings fear to me because there are a lot of Asians around too and whenever I am there, I take in the lights and sights, bridges, canals and all thing gorgeous.  I was in Hague one time and it was pretty awesome to see the International Court of Justice.  If you haven’t been tot he Muritshuis Museum, you should..! because i got to see some of Vermeer’s famous work and the work of Rembrandt.  I’m not the arty farty type.. but i really liked it.. and sat down for lunch outside the museum.. and took in the cool air.

I’ve been to Macau several times for work and pleasure and I must say the hotels are awesome.  Not only are they priced right. .they have such huge and magnificent rooms – almost majestic .. and really huge.  The office furniture in the study are specially ordered and each room themed differently.

Staying at the Venetian in Macau cost us like $250USD .. but it was worth every penny.  The Royale Suite that we were in was huge..!!!!  the king size bed was very nice and soft.   Then they have the living room with couch to watch your tv on .. with LCD screens .. executive work area.. for those who are there for business.  Of course, high speed internet at no extra cost or the all in one fax machine with printer and copier too.  The mini bar was fully stocked.  We were in for a good start when I entered the huge reception counter.

An awesome and huge bathroom and dressing room – unlike the hotels in Japan.

Huge area for brushing and washing up.

The staff are friendly.. although they seems to have an awful time understanding us.. .and with what little mandarin i knew.. i was just glad .. they didn’t give up on us.  The Venetian Macau reminds me of Las Vegas.. and of course it is no surprised.. because i heard the owners are the same.  With 3000 suites to offer to their hotel guests.. and many programs and event.. and spa, gym and even a kid’s club – for those bringing the whole family.  They also have 5 chinese restaurants in house – several Western delights and of course a Portugese restaurant too – 2 japanese restaurants and many entertainment within the hotel.   Truth be told, one don’t even need to get out of the hotel for anything.  But of course, we need to explore the outside – just a word of caution .. to be weary when you are buying jewellery or silk – most of them are faked.
