Holding passenger ransom.. was what was reported of european budget airline – Ryan Air, whereby the Airline Chief suggested that they install a pay as you use toilet on the airplane .. and passengers need to pay a pound to use the toilet on the airplane.  He claimed that it would lower the cost of airtickets..??  really..??  that’s too funny eh..??  Not even his own aides seemed to be sure if he was serious or pursuing his penchant for making brazen declarations to get free publicity for Ryanair.  I’m thinking that if i was a flight attendant .. for Ryan air.. i should look into changing my career into something else.. like a  healthcare career perhaps..??  I wouldn’t wanna be there.. when they start implementing the pay toilet thing.. for i’m sure.. there will be a lot of unhappy passengers on board.

When one think of the Mardi Gras.. you think of New Orleans.. but of course.. afterall… it is said.. that Mardi Gras is the grandest here.   Yes.. i’ve had the pleasure to be in one.. and every vacationer was on the street celebrating.. and partying.  It gets quite wild.. i tell yer.. plus it is a public holiday.. if i didn’t remember incorrectly.

We did have loads of fun.. but that was a few years ago.. when we saw this swanky mamas on the celebrating too. Window Blinds were all taken out. .and you can see people everywhere.. throwing beads.  But truth be told.. it isn’t New Orleans that is celebrating Mardi Gras alone.  So far, Mobile, Ala., Orlando, Fla., St. Louis, Mo & even Vail, Colo in the mountains are throwing a bash.  So if you are heading to the USA, to any of these state, be sure to plan .. to go for the Mardi Gras party.. and be prepared to dress up eh.

An airplane like this .. has gotta be for the billionaires.  I doubt I could ever afford this  new Airbus A380 by Lufthansa.  Crazy as it might seems to some, there are billionaires out there .. who would definitely spend money like this.  Lets take a look at more of the interior.

It’s like having a house in the air.. and you can have a conference.. or even host a party in the air.   Recession or not.. the big boys must have their toys. .and the bigger and more luxurious the better eh.  Afterall, that’s what Luthansa .. the German airline thinks.

I don’t even think that Obama’s Air Force one looks this good.

Awesome or what..?? actually awesome is an understated word here.

Some ppl said the sky got friendlier.. what a joke.. !! they only got friendlier .. for the ultra rich silly..!!  you think you and I can afford something like that..??  doubt so.  I hope some of my millionaire ex-b/f would think of me..  when they do have a party in the air and invite me.

Looking to go to Japan soon for a holiday..??  Well.. it looks like you need to be finger printed and photo taken too.. regardless if you were there for a vacation or on business.. or even if you were a permanent resident there.  As long as you are a foreigner.. you have to be screened each time .. at the airport.  I bet there are lots of ppl who ain’t gonna be too happy about it.. but it’s not like you can look for some exit signs and turn around .. and say by right..?? since you are stuck there.. unless you take the next plane out.  So just you know.. if you are going to Japan for any reason..  you got the heads up now.

Definitely a surplus in my humble opinion . .but passengers of South West Airline can begin to enjoy .. Wireless connection on board their jets.  They are currently doing a test on one.. and will be expanding this service to more of their planes in the next few months.

During the current test months, passengers will be able to log on free using their own laptop or smart phone — cellular technology won’t work.  Southwest is waiting for approval from the Federal Communications Commission to offer service beyond the trial.  Airlines are rushing to add Internet service on flights to raise revenue and give passengers something else to do.

Dallas-based Southwest is using technology from Row 44, which provides Internet service through a satellite link. American Airlines and other carriers are using technology that connects Internet users through ground-based signals.    Southwest said it is working with Yahoo Inc. to offer a homepage with “destination-relevant content” during the flight.

Yes..! finally we have air service in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia.. after so many years.  Maybe 5 years i think, so anyone who wants to get outta town.. needs to either drive or take the CAT.  But having said that .. the air service to portland is still delayed due to some license thing.  But they are offering 2 flights from Yarmouth to Halifax, so if you want some Nixon watches you may want to check them out at Halifax duty free.  So for those planning to visit Yarmouth, or for those trying to go to Portland.. you may wanna plan for a later date.  I hear the flights are going for $139 one way.

When I first started traveling because of work, little did i know that if you are taking medication with you while traveling to a foreign land, you need to have a doctor’s certificate and the doctor’s letter describing why you need the medication is very important.  Try to keep the medication in its original container to avoid being stop more than the usual time by customs.  Don’t fret because they are just doing their job.  If you are taking diet pill , you too need to make sure that you get your doctor to write a letter for you.

Travel is down all over and in prices categories, of course. But luxury travel has tumbled off the proverbial cliff, and that means airlines and hotels will make fundamental changes in how they price and how they operate.  According to IATA, the airline trade group, year-over-year premium-class traffic fell a modest 1.5 percent in August, then began to plummet: down 8 percent in September, 6.9 percent in October, and 11.5 percent in November. “The low point…has not been reached,” IATA economists warned.
