Do not mistaken this cafe with the one in Quebec. Yes. there is a Cafe de la Paix in Quebec too. I recommend a visit to this special cafe for those who are around this area. Located opposite of the Paris Opera, you cannot missed it. It is kinda expensive.. but definitely worth the visit as this is quite famous in Paris. I also noticed alot of tourists here.. and it does have a fairly expensive menu. For coffee alone, you can expect to pay between 4 – 10 euros.

The things you see when you are traveling are wonderful and it is definitely a learning process.  From the different cultures, different religions, different foods to different kinds of people and businesses.  But one thing you can’t missed out on when traveling no matter where you are or where you go, whether it’s day time or night time, are the signs, displays and advertisements, just to entice you the tourist and consumers.  The brighter the better, and 3Ds ones and moving anime signs if possible.

If you were looking for signs in New York City or its surrounding areas, Metro Sign Communications established for more than 23 yrs is definitely a reliable place to go to for any kind of custom made signs.  This signs NY company can help you to promote your business or any product you wish, and helps make you and your company visible to the public. Of course enticing the customers with an attention grabbing sign that can give you a cutting edge amongst your competitors is the ultimate goal.

Whether you are looking for a 3D sign or engraving or even store front signs and signing up your car for advertising your business like we did, it all can help.  They use only top quality materials and take pride in every job they do.  Go take a look at the gallery on their website to an idea of the kind of jobs they have already done for various companies.  Located in New York, you can email or call them at a toll free number for a discussion with no obligations, or use their website and submit your queries and you can be sure to hear back from them shortly.

Star Cruise

For those who have never been on a cruise vacation, then you’ll have to try it. No excuses about sea sickness and all.. because for someone like me who have got major motion sickness and i’m fine.. and loved the cruise.. you shouldn’t have any problems. The reason why i had no motion sickness was the ship was so huge and i didn’t feel a thing at all.

Cruises are so fun.. it was endless .. of activities for us. We stayed in a balcony room, where we can dine and dance or just soak in the sun there. That is the luxury of staying in a Balcony class room. With 13 decks of fun and activities for your to choose from. Restaurants, bars and nightlife outlets, cinemas, swimming pools and plus a life theatre. Just like a 5 star resort but on water.

Serving 6 sumptuous meal for all passengers, enjoy a fully equipped spa, massages, suana and steam room and foot reflexology as well. It is a holiday really away from just about everything.. and a truly relaxing vacation for a very tired working woman .. and the family. You know the kids will never get lost.. and they are fed endlessly and drink just about anything.. from juices to non-alcoholic drinks.. all day. You can play dressed up.. and dine at the Captain’s Table.. or just eat privately on your balcony… if you so wished to. Itinerary is entirely up to you. It’s a truly wonderful experience.. and you will love it so much.. you wanna come back over and over again.

Traveling Tips

August 29th, 2008

One thing I learned after traveling the world twice, is to make sure you eat lots of fruits.. if not anything else.  Try everything in moderation to avoid any acne problems when you come back from a vacation.  Afterall, you also want your vacation pictures to look good eh.

Traveling around the world had brought me more than just getting away, it had brought me great knowledge and experiencing the difference in culture, food and even stuff we buy.  One of the things i never fail to look out for when i am traveling are dollhouses for my kid.  I can really appreciate them because of the great craftmanship for making one of those.  So intricate yet so real and priceless.

Hotel Bauer is not like your ordinary hotel, this is one of the best hotels in Venice, Italy. It is what we hoteliers considered as a 5 star hotel or a first class hotel. Not many hotels are named first class hotels.. and what i liked most was it was a 2 mins walk from San Marco.

I was privileged to have stayed in this wonderful hotel.. that transported me back in times.. i felt like a queen.. and i’m sure my bosses felt like the kings. My room overlooked the small square.. internet access is available in the room and of course satellite tv and the meals were awesome.. at the terrace. It was so enlightening almost every evening. .sipping a glass or wine.. relaxing before turning in.

The concierge department as well as the front desk were efficiently operated.. and every morning.. when turning in my room keys.. they would greet me by my family name. The concierge department and the bell men knew which was my limo driver every morning. I forgot to mentioned that the bathroom was tiled with marble .. and it was really awesome.. on a hot summer day.

The French Alps

Breath-taking is definitely the understatement here. The French Alps has gotta be the most exhilarating trip i have ever made in my entire life. Another magnificent sight for me.. and it definitely made me feel really small. There is just so much to see, with lots of apartments.. chalets and various condos to rent out to tourist like myself… and my team of people.. we definitely were spoiled for choices.. but make sure you book early .. because it was quite packed when we were there. They also have a few one star hotels.. and 12 – 4stars ones . .and a few more that were classified as 3 stars. We stayed at the Hotel De Charme Les Airelles but that’s for another story . .and another day.

Almost like heaven.

A view from the bridge.

Painted walls.

For those who knows me.. you will know that I can’t even climb the Great Wall of China .. ! i only did 2 stations.. and i was gasping for my breath.. like there was no tomorrow. Having to climb up to this restaurant.. and the food was on so-so .. and nothing to shout about .. except for the view… yah..! you got it right.. i wasn’t too, too impressed.

What a magnificent sight eh..? At the heart of three valleys .. is Courchevel.  This is said to be the largest skiing area in the world.. and it is on the French Alps.  You will find that this place is the perfect place for skiing in the winter.. and the summers are just as lively .. and crowded with vacationers .. like us.  In Courchevel you will find activities for just about anyone and the people who runs the city are very well organized and welcomes any tourists and wants to genuinely make their stay a memorable one.  If you are into skiing .. this place is of course the best ever, you cannot find a better place than Courchevel.

The Copenhagen Zoo does open all year round i heard. We were there in June and they just had the elephant house build new. A tropical zoo environment .. with rain forest and crocodile swamp. The children’s zoo was fun. .they had the Bunnyland for the kids. They had quite a number of indoor activities .. so it’s great for the kids .. during winter.

Bear all alone.. and quite pitiful.

Wolves

Fascinating animal

If you are wondering if there are people in Paris that goes to Starbucks.. since there are so many cafes and outdoor eating places in Paris and all the little streets that they have in Paris. I’ll have to let you know that Starbucks in Paris is no different than any Starbucks in the world, they are packed..! and service .. friendly in every Starbucks.. and some friendlier.

Unlike the smaller cafes in Paris, at Starbucks .. you just gotta love their huge armchairs .. and reading a book or whipping up your lappie and work on it.. makes one feels like they are doing something important.. even if you were a housewife catching up on news from home.

The menu up on top of the serving counter .. unlike the ones we have back home in Asia.. where they are written in chalk boards.. in different colors. Whatever you favored that day.. a mocha, a latte or an expresso .. or just a green tea… and a biscotti.. they are ready to serve you . with smiles.. and shouting out your name loud when your drinks are ready. Very americanish..!
