When you are in the hotel industry.. and you are staying in another in another country.. it is a unspoken courtesy to fellow hoteliers .. to extend what we call a hotel site inspection. Especially with new hotels.. it’s always fun.. to bring the Sales and Marketing team with you .. and check out all their hotel’s furnishing.. and what they have to offer .. that we don’t have. We even check out the bathroom.. and some hotels uses Kohler faucets that we ourselves uses. Checking out the restaurants and the concierge services is a must too. Hoteliers welcome others like them.. for these inspections.. that way.. if they are overbooked.. they can farm them out to them. Common courtesy goes a long way.
